Sure, tube amps can add grit to your tone, but there is also an x-factor - the tube "sag" that gives that biting compression and singing sustain that is nearly impossible to achieve without having your axe in close vicinity to a cranked amp. The problem is, using a compressor and distortion together can yield a noisy, ugly mess that sounds more like a lawnmower than a great amp!

Lucky for you, Guyatone invented the SD-2. The SD-2 combines all these tube amp attributes into one pint-sized pedal that adds arena-sized tone and endless sustain to any size rig, at any volume! The SD-2's Level control varies the overall output volume while the Gain control increases the amount of drive and compression. By varying these two simple controls, the SD-2 can offer everything from subtle boosts to creamy, violin-like tones that other distortions can only brag about! At maximum Gain settings the SD-2 literally latches onto notes, creating a singing sustain that will last until you take your fingers off the frets (if not longer)! Want a real treat?
